Thank you all. Kell, this was taken with a very inexpensive Canon A480 using the super macro feature. Great little compact camera, fits in the pocket nicely. I also recommend the pasque flower if you don't have it - emerges early, fills in with feathery foliage, the blooms are jolly, the seed heads are a whole 'nother show, and after deadheading the foliage stays nice and full through the summe
