Taken on 22nd April 2008. This is a female, parasitic to Andrena nigroaenea, which I had, and other Andrena species.

The female has no yellow spots at the base of the thorax in this species, but the male does.

The face of the male. They seem to prefer yellow leaved shrubs, good for camouflage. This is Choisya ternata 'Moon Sleeper'.

A female flew in while I was taking a pic of the male, I got two more pics but with only the male in focus.
