Dogbane Beetle

Found him just sitting on a glad bud. Very pretty....for a bug.

Dogbane is a weed common to abandoned fields.... looks like a milkweed with milky sap, but not a milkweed... these 1/4 inch beetles eat the leaves

Found this scary beetle with the giant horn floating in my pool. He is fine but the 2nd one today didn't seem to like swimming as much
