Enterolobium Species
enterolobium cyclocarpum

Monkey ear, elephant ear TREE (large tree)
Can send seeds or pods with seeds.
I live in Zone 9 and it does well here, I believe it would do well for someone who would want to PUSH the zone if it were kept pot bound for people living farther north this would also restrict the growth, easily trimmed at almost any time of the year, not a picky tree easy to grow

I have 3 different types, I can't seem to find them in the plant files and I have looked and looked to no avail.
1, is very short (2 inches tall), very gray with almost black stripes, very tight leaves. lovely in a pot with others like #3
2, is much larger light lime serrated like green leaves will get about 30 inches high, blooms in orange has brown/reddish Horizonal stripes/ on the leather like leaves, stands upright. Bold statement with this one.
3. is a medium green, round leaves about the size of a 1/2 dollar, creeps along the ground, cute and interesting good combo with #1

Lonestar Four O'Clock
Mirabilis austrotexana

This plant once established is drought tolerant, hummingbirds flock to it in the evening, it has a sweet scent, but if not kept in a place well contained can become evasive in the proper conditions.
Does well with a hard cut back once a year followed with a good feeding, can go dormant in winter but pops right back from the tuber when the ground warms.
