Acquired by chance from a Florida trader, but native to Australia. One fitting local name name is Bush Cherry. Plants can take many forms, anywhere from a bush or a small to moderate sided tree all depending on care. It is sometimes used in landscape in warmer sub-tropical climates, and it can be a good choice for a bonsai specimen.

Reported Disease Resistance: Field immune to apple scab; moderately resistant to powdery mildew; highly resistant to cedar-apple rust; highly resistant to fire blight. Resistances imparted from Malus floribunda.

6/14/2015 - This sole specimen may have been damaged beyond recovery by mold and weather during the wet season.
5/20/2018 - A single specimen still exists growing on Pyrus calleryana rootstock, though without much vigor.

Clonally propagated from one of the most vigorous of the specimens selected at my location. Hardy but throned. Intended for use as a rootstock or as parent in crosses. The tree in its natural state has great branch angles. Blooms are white, and are the first thing to 'wake up' in the spring coming before everything else.
