Canna Lily Canna x generalis My cannas are second generation, grown from seed from my mother's plants. Canna seed propagation involves soaking, heating and scarification. Scarify the seed, and soak for at least 24 hours. Maintain heat between 70-75F. Plant in moist starting mix and place on a heating pad to ensure proper heat for germination. My plants are not babied or watered; we planted them in a natural low spot in our yard near the gutter downspout. They are well-mulched and survive all year with no additional watering. | 'Landscape Red' | Seeds | (PlantFiles) |

This variety is well-suited to high-heat, and continues to grow and thrive even in 100-degree+ heat. Our patch has never received any special care, fertilizer, or grooming. We don't water it at all.
