Clematis 'Venosa Violacea' Question

And of course, as I have learned from all the wonderful gardeners in the DG community, you cannot be content with just 1 color of clematis on the trellis, there must be 2. Since I wanted to stick to pruning group 3 so I can prune indiscriminantly, I chose Madame Julia Correvon to pair with Venosa Violacea. The Julia in my picture has been in the ground maybe 6 weeks, she came mail order but very healthy and ready to grow. I think they make a nice couple.

nasturtium, i love the combo. i have done julia c with polish spirit on each side of an arch, as i needed the other side to fill in fast. but the vv is nicer with the white. that is amazing 2 year growth, calif is good for clems i see.
julia c is such a favorite of mine, can't say enough.
