So here is the beginning! Typifolia Caitlin's Smile is in bud already!!! She's beating them all-even the regular typifolia!!
Siberian and species are on the way!
Looking forward to all the pictures Kiddo

I can't wait for the pictures to begin. I hope that next year I will be posting my own pictures of all my new Sibs.
Really looking forward to your pictures also. You are one of the enablers that got me interested in Siberians, after seeing all of your beautiful pictures last year.
Well, I had to run out and look at my Caitlin's Smile, and it too is budded. China Spring was my first one last year on 5/29.
I also have TB buds, way early.
I was weeding yesterday and broke off a TB bud before I realized it was all budded. I was so focused on weeding little burning bush seedlings. China Spring is way up. But I. lactea is usually first to bloom here.
Wonderful, Dee!!
I am hoping that the picture I just took will also show the curly foliage:) I will see and if good will post here.
Thank you
D
Funky liitle guy! I like it.
I'll hafta ask my friend if hers came back (in our area).
Boojum, can't you tell them to wait until the roundup? Didn't you promise us siberians in bloom?
My Siberians are not any where near bloom...a few species now, tons of bearded but just 3 TB. We are having rain again in the PNW...

Sounds like you need some of the typifolia ones Dee :)

Don't worry perenniallyme, there will be plenty of blooms next month!! BTW, typifolia is a beardless iris species and it's not siberian.
Phew! Shows you how much I know!
Right now I think pseucoderous and louisana since they really love water, has rained all of May except for 2 days!
That is even too much for us ducks in the PNW

Wow, the JIs should be happy too.
Lactea is also open (musta missed it yesterday-it's always first here). Pic coming....
You have such a lovely collection of Iris boojum. Do you grow any of the Pseudata ones? I am wondering when they bloom in relationship to the tall bearded ones? I planted 2 this year and wonder if they have already bloomed or if they might still bloom for me.
susan
I got 6-8 of the pseudata from Carol Warner as they are all Shimimu is and those have the heavy eyelash.

My first pseudatas (last year from pollyk) bloomed early July with the JIs.
China Spring is a beauty.
I'm guessing its almost time for the Siberians to bloom around here.
Siberians just starting here before the versi color
