What soil is suitable for rasberries--what do i need to add to have a productive rasberry patch
rasberries
They grow here in just about any soil. If you want them to spread you should add soil structure to allow rapid undersoil travel. I use composted sawdust and manure to make soil good.
I agree with Sof. Just build your soil with organic matter. They will love it. Raspberry bushes aren't hard to grow -- just hard to control and hard to beat the critters to the berries. But of course the better the soil, the tastier and larger the berries.
