Oh Yuck, LadyG, I order some OT Hybrid Lilies from a DG Co-op just this year.
I have yet seen those destructive beetles, but I'm on the look out for them. Thanks for sharing the info.
Thought I should put a link to the Beetle topic from the lily forum to make it easy for us to locate it. Holly, just inspect the bulbs before you plant, maybe a dip in insecticidle soap before you plant would be a good idea. I just planted some African Queens on Saturday before I found out about this bad bug.

This is really gross.....
While they feed, these larvae pile their own excrement on their backs and thus display a rather repulsive image.
