I know that spring is barely here, but I bought bulbs a few weeks ago, and I am itching to plant them. Is it still too early? If so, then when?
These are last year's casa blancas.
Planting lilies, liatris and crocosmia
I would go ahead and plant them, they will need some time to grow roots, and by the time they break through the soil that danger of a hard frost should be over.
You can always have some flower pots or other forms of protection handy that you could pop over the new growth if you get an untimely frost.
I decided this morning that it was time when I noticed that several of my lilies were coming up in the garden. If they don't know when the right time is, then who does.
Sorry, I'm a little late but was going to tell you to plant them anyway! I'm preparing a spot for the Lilies that arrived on Monday myself :)
Thanks. I'm hoping to get all of my bulbs out into their new homes this weekend.
