Show plants from the Northern Alpine Garden Society show

North East England, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

If you are interested I have many photos from the AGS show I went to yesterday. There were some stunning plants - none of them mine though! I bought a few plants from some of the stalls there. Some pretty good alpine nurseries attend these shows so it is nice to be able to look and buy. My photos are here http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/album/570721923hJUPiC?vhost=home-and-garden

Magnificent!

I'm going to be visiting England this summer. I'm reading up on the good garden
destinations in Frommers but would love to hear about your favorite spots too. We're
going to land in London and try to get to Hamptom Court flower show. And generally
head west and back to London to fly home.

Quite inspiring. Any chance of knowing the name of the corydalis in the Pulsatilla halleri pic?

Tammy, it's a pity that you can't make it up to Edinborough. The Royal Botanic garden there is fantastic, with what many argue is the best man made rock garden in the world.

So you will be going to Wisley?

Tammy - there are numerous places to visit "down south". I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time. If I think of anywhere I'll let you know.

thanks G.

Rick - I went to Scotland in '95 - before I got into Alpines & Rock Gardening
so missed Edinborough Royal BG. Probably can't get DH to go there a
second time.

I hadn't put Wisely on the list. I will look into it though. We'll be there for
Hampton Court Flower Show. I need to spend a focused afternoon to get all
the details worked out.

Love the pictures!
