Yes, that's the only coloring that a Dwarf Hotot is suppose to have. They can have black, chocolate, or blue eyebands. They are beautiful little bunnies who only get to be about 2.5lbs.

Here's her daddy Klondike

We keep the pretty ones out of the litters.

Poulsbo, WA

Just adorable! I just have to ask, how many TOTAL rabbits do you have?!
The Hotots look egyptian, I immediately thought of cleopatra's eyes.
You said you keep the pretty ones. What do you do with the rest?

I have only 14 rabbits; one chocolate satin buck who is waiting for his doe to arrive this year, and the rest are black rexs. I did breed the chocolate satin to a black rex doe and got some pretty younguns. I don't show them, just enjoy them out with the chickens. I let one rex buck live with the pygmy goats and they play with him just like they do each other!

When the roof finally goes on my greenhouse, I am going to move some rabbits in there. Does that work out good for you, to have them in the greenhouse? I read that it is a symbiotic relationship with the plants, but I am not sure why.

Thank you!!with babies too about close to 70.LOL!!!We have a broker that we sell them too all at one time,he sells them to pet stores. We don't show either we just sell for pets.We have our rabbits under sheds.

Good luck with your rabbits and if you can post pictures of them.

neofarmer, I kept my rabbits in the GH this winter, the water bottles kept freezing and going out at 1am and again at 6am to change them....well in the GH they went.
Must change litter (poo) every 3 - 5 days. They loved it inside. Don't know if they helped the plants grow, but they enjoyed the lettuce and spinach I gave them.
I only keep 3 adults. They are back outside, babies due in 15 days, but she is always late ^_^

We do use the rabbit poo.We have some on our blue berrie bushes now.It helps them.
