I saw it yesterday. Quite fascinating but don't know much about them.

Yes GL I guess they are. We were diigging new beds and I just happened to raise my head and saw this 'stick' on the siding. I didn't have my glasses on at the time and went to brush it off thinking it was a strand of mulch or something. I nearly died when it moved...lol!! I bet they eat all those bad insects though!!
