Meconopsis Integrifolia
Fangray - I didn't notice your posting 'til today. Those are spectacular!
I've not seen these meconopsis before.
Folks do offer seeds here so keep reading. Since it won't be seed harvesting
season for a while, you'll have to wait I suspect. Have you thought of joining
some of the alpine societies? NARGS (North Americal Rock Garden Society)
is opening their annual seed exchange very soon. You can participate if you
join the national organization.
Unearthly beautiful flower, frangray - thank you for sharing its picture.
The NARGS website is posting its seed list on the internet this year, and it is now up - http://www.nargs.org/seed/SeedExchange-2008-current-seed-list.html
I think I'm going to start a separate thread for understanding their list - I am seriously botanically challenged with respect to rock garden plants.
I don't visit this forum often enough - nice to meet you, frangray and waving at Tammy
Actually, an absolutely wonderful thing about the NARGS seed list is that it is not restricted to "rock garden" plants... it is a fabulous resource for seeds for all sorts of garden settings!
OMG! Stunning! Wish I could get the blighters to germinate! I've tried them several times to no avail.
Fantastic flowers and in the wild they are stunning.
