One of these little minis was also open. The flower is about an inch across.

Jackie - Pretty bloom!! What cultivar is it? Gosh ... would love some cooler weather here. It got hot today! But we will soon be in the month of October and it WILL start cooling down a little bit by the end of the month ... I hope ...

Here is a new one for me. This one was labeled Heian Umi X Rose Silk (from Antoinette).

gardenpom - Lovely blooms from the other thread and from those above. What is this one? http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5603774 I love the color. Your photos are awesome! :-)

Another new MG bloom for me today. This one is labeled Hanafubuki and I am not sure who I got the seed from.

Thanks, Becky.....I don't really keep track of them once they are planted, sorry. I'm just happy when some bloom. Most of these late season blooms are from vines that sprouted on their own.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Of course, I am just enchanted with Fuji Shibori! This bloom stays open ALL DAY LONG! What a great vine! Of course, it is in afternoon shade ... maybe that has something to do with it staying so pretty all day?

Here is I. hederacea var. integriuscula.

Mutant Blue Needle Leaf Nanding. Though it looks a bit like Star of India in this photo.

Lady Yaguruma's Kaleidoscope 2nd generation. Got my first bloom on a volunteer growing in the pot that the original vine was in. Looks a lot like the mother vine. The bloom is a bit washed out from the flash. Has more blue in it instead of what looks like white.

Lavender Sunsmiles still blooming strong. I can't believe the vines growing in this pot have recovered from the rust and are now blooming like crazy again! Who would have guessed! This is such a pretty vine of blooms!

That's a beautiful color Becky. Seems you had blooms all summer. Mine hardly bloomed at all during the hottest months.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Kawaii. Too cute!

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

gardenpom - Actually I had blooms in late Spring through June. Then rust killed all of the vines except Sunsmiles and Kawaii (growing in a pot). This is a new group of grow-out seeds/vines that I planted the end of August.

Pink Sunsmiles. Love this photo ... bloom looks almost creamy pink! It really is this pretty in real life! It does live up to it's name! The whole pot of Sunsmiles and Kawaii make me smile everyday with their gorgeous blooms! :-)

And my last photo of the day ...

Pink Porcelain! This vine is definitely one of my favorites! It has done a reverse color change on the blooms. They originally were pink with white streaks ... now they are white with pink streaks. Same single vine. I hope like heck I get seeds from this beauty as I want to grow her again! She is a knock-out in my humble opinion.

Ron - Are there any photos of cultivars that I have posted that should be added to PlantFiles?

I discovered my Moonflower vine was blooming tonight! I never tire of these blooms! They seem to glow!

Nice flower Jackie~getting cool here too...
Gardenpom I just love this one! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5603774
Becky your blooms are great but pink porcelain is my favorite!

Netcong, NJ(Zone 5b)

gardenpom - The photo of the "Blue Star" that you posted here
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5603774
is particularly outstanding as the shiny particles are rarely captured in photos of this type of MG...your excellent photo should be added to the PlantFiles here
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/51633/

Becky - The photo of your Ipomoea hederacea var.integriuscula "Entire Leaf MG" showing the flowers, leaves and sepals here
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5603847
could certainly be added to the PlantFiles
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/53528/

I'm wondering if the photos here

are actually Sunsmiles (?)...as the leaves appear to be non-variegated...and Sunsmiles have variegated leaves
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/adv_search.php?searcher%5Bcommon%5D=&searcher%5Bfamily%5D=&searcher%5Bgenus%5D=Ipomoea&searcher%5Bspecies%5D=nil&searcher%5Bcultivar%5D=sunsmile&searcher%5Bhybridizer%5D=&searcher%5Bgrex%5D=&search_prefs%5Bblank_cultivar%5D=&search_prefs%5Bsort_by%5D=cultivar&images_prefs=both&Search=Search

The flowers of the Kawaii can look just like Sunsmiles, but the Kawaii have non-variegared leaves...
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/201821/

I noticed that you have some photos showing variegated leaves and a mixture of variegated and non-variegated already entered in the Kawaii entry...(??)...

What do you think (?)...

The Hanafubuki could be entered here
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/107188/

TTY,...

Garden pom, lovely Blue Star
Thanks Becky and Ronnie. I'm sure my bloom above is the one Ron id'd
as a Youjiro.
Love all your blooms Becky. Pink Porcelain is absolutely stunning.

szarvas, Hungary

a stupid question - one more
did anybody try to make an hybrid moonflower and an other ipomoea ?
ipomoea alba is so fertile , full of pollen
the botanic families are perhaps too far from each other .In the botanic history they make others fool weddings ex : Prunus persica var. nucipersica - zebra X horse etc...

Netcong, NJ(Zone 5b)

dany - check out this post here (skip over the goofy nonsense at the top and scroll down to the list of known true inter-specific hybrids)
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=2840807

There are many Families of plants in which true inter-specific hybrids are common, but the Morning Glory Family is not one of them

Talk to you...

Thanks for the info, Ron.

I am not sure that what I have is Hanafubuki. It sure doesn't look like the photos of blooms in PlantFiles.

Pretoria, South Africa

Oh Becky, I just LOVE your Hanafubuki, and Pink Porcelain!

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Thanks Elsa! I hope your Pink Porcelain seeds produce something similar! :-)

Here is Pink Porcelain today! I love it too!

Got a weird shot of two blooms on my Fuji no Monet NOT volunteers that I transplanted to a pot! I don't know if it was the condensation (morning dew) or what caused that to the blooms?

Thumbnail by beckygardener
(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

And in the same pot, there appears to be a pink blooming Fuji no Monet NOT! It was a new bloom on a different vine. So ... this is rather interesting!

Today's bloom of Hanafubuki or whatever this vine might be.

Blue Asago Willow 2nd generation. Unfortunately, no willow shaped leaves, but the blooms are still gorgeous as ever.

Becky, beautiful! as always....

Awesome Becky!! I really like the blue one~ http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5608273

You have some beauties flowering up there, Becky! What a nice shade of pink on the Pink Porcelain and the blue on the willow dianthus JMG is a knock out!

Ronnie - I have seeds for Blue Asago Willow already tucked neatly into your bubble envie. :-)

Joseph - If you would like seeds for Blue Asago Willow, dmail me! ;-)

Rust has gotten to most of my vines along the privacy fence and they are just about done. Few leaves, but Chiaki just keeps blooming despite that fact! This is such a beautiful color of blue!
