Hot, Hot, Hot in So Cal
Karen,
Great collection. but uh........where do YOU stay? LOL Must not be any room left at the Inn!! :-)
Kyle :-)
Very nice Karen! It's nice that the heat is good for something! LOL
beautiful, Karen!!!!!
Your collection is amazing! I can't wait to plant some pretty hibiscus in my new yard!
Thanks for the compliments, all :-)
Kyle, ya know, that is sort of an issue, lol! My rental house has a really long driveway and that's where they all are. Some people find it rather alarming, lol ;-) My mail lady just wants to know if I'll sell some...
I've got a couple from this morning that aren't up above.
Here's my first bloom on Barry Schlueter.
Just a beautiful collection Karen!!! And all look so healthy and happy. Great growing!!!
Robert
Great pictures, Karen. I don't know how you find the time to take care of all of them, especially in the heat.
Your collection is absolutely amazing!!! I have never seen some of these cultivars before! You should submit them to the pic listings!!!
Thanks for sharing
Absolutely magnificent. I needed to look at your flowers tonight. Between the humidity, the mosquitos, the snails and the spidermites, its a constant battle with my babies....who HATE this weather! No blooms worth showing for August, as of yet.
Keep posting Karen....keeps me smiling!
Thanks for the great compliment, Cat!!! I've been wondering where your pictures were, and wondered if I should stop posting so many of mine...I bet in September you're gonna have mounds of blooms to show, like I do now. You KNOW we have to see pics of our same flowers from California to Florida, since you and I DO have such awesome taste in plants, lol ;-)
Your pics inspired me all throughout the winter and early spring when my babies were looking so bad and I had zero blooms. I've been doing the regular every two weeks fertilizer thing, but this past time, I added the HVH bloom booster to my mix. Wow, have they taken off; I've had tons of blooms over this past couple days, including some first blooms of the season on old plants :-)
Shirley, they are a bit to take care of, and if I was working outside the house, there's no way I'd have the time. I hand water them all since I'm a renter now and the plants are all kept on a long driveway. I guess being a "bubble girl" has its advantages ;-)
karen
Going to order bloom booster tomorrow :)
You know, it really works. Last year I used it religiously every two weeks along with their fertilizer. This year has been very difficult health-wise between me and my mom, so I haven't been so consistent. It's a crazy coincidence how many new buds and blooms I've had suddenly, if it's not due to the bloom booster...
