Almost forgot - Fiskars garden tools on clearance

Shenandoah Valley, VA

I forgot to tell you all our local Walmart had all their Fiskars garden hand tools on clearance last week. Might want to check your local store.

They had the nice, thick metal hand tools on sale for $3, same ones Amazon was selling for $8, and the plastic ones on sale for 97 cents. Trowels, cultivators and a nice soil scoop in the metal ones. The better pruners were on sale for $5.

While I'm at it, here's this month's printable garden coupons for Home Depot

thanks! I have 3 prs of hand pruners but couldn't find any the other day. They need to be sprinkled liberally about, like ball point pens in a house, so you can find when when you want one!

I feel the same way about trowels and my favorite garden tool, this thing:

http://lawn-and-garden.hardwarestore.com/82-515-hand-cultivators/hoematic-cultivator--618077.aspx I use this for everything in the garden - digging holes and planting, cultivating, weeding. They have one of these on clearance too but it wasn't a Fiskars.

I did get me a roll of lime green duct tape and wrapped some around the handle so it's easier to see when I've misplaced it.

I really like the Fiskars pruners, Sally, and $5 is a great price.

I love the orange handles on my Fiskars loppers, for the visibilty. One of my el cheapo diggers has a wood handle that I painted white, that one is great to spot too.
OTOH, I was desperate and bought a pruner at Target, in a tasteful sagey green and grey handle. This designer obviously does not garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, they hire someone else to do all the real work but hang their tasteful pruners on the wall of their tidy and tastefully decorated garden shed. LOL
