Story about Dave's Garden on NPR this evening

Hey, did any of you catch the story about D.G. on "All things considered" ( I think ) on N.P.R. ? It was about Texas DG'ers helping out a family that had to move and needed help to take their lilies with them. I just caught the end of it because my D.H. heard it and called me in the house. It was a very nice story!

Bummer, missed it. It does sound like a great and uplifting story. I wonder if it could be found on a podcast?

Yes, I enjoyed hearing it on NPR on the computer. Even my DH enjoyed it. It is so DG like.

The thing that gets me REALLY misty is that if a member falls on hard times and can't afford a renewal DG waives the fee. I think that is the most wonderful thing.

And we do get to know one another, don't we! Here I am in Georgia, and I've already been on at least two forums with you.... and I certainly have seen AggieGirl around the garden! And she's in Texas!

I know its way too fun. I belong to another forum that's spread around AB. When I met a member after a year, we hugged and we had never spoke to each other let alone seen each other. It's sure makes a warm and wonderful world methinks.

My DH just listened to it with me at the office... of course I got teary!
