I received Gay Princess as a bonus somewhere along the line, about two or three years ago, and gave it to my daughter since I "didn't have room". It's nice to have visiting rights to it.

Just beautiful Al, Contessa caught my eye. You always have such beauties. Glad you like to share some of your world with us.

I found that Karma series were not the best keepers. Had 7 a couple of years ago and I think I'm down to about half that many now. Well, I suppose it's good that they all don't multiply abundantly. But I rather liked Namoni. At least it wasn't beetle bait.

Jam you may have something there. Karma 'Prospero' (my only karma) did not survive DBCS. I do want to get it again though.

Tarahiti Ruby, this is similar to Contessa, but I say Ruby is more of a garden dahlia and Contessa is a better cutter.

Nothing can beat the Ruby or 'the Rubinator' as some dahlia grower out here calls it. Looking good, Al. I kept 4 Contessas because I don't think that one is easily replaced. ( Eagle Hardware/Lowe's special years ago.)

One is 1.5 inches tall LOL, two are at best 6 inches tall after a recent shot of fertilizer and the best one is now about 9 inches tall with a bud. Not a good year for Contessa. I still love T. Ruby as a cutter though Al. Contessa has better stems for sure though.

I wonder if your purple/white isn't going to be Optic Illusion? Hard to say until it opens, but it sure is clear!

You might be right there Poocherella, I looked through the old VB catalogs but couldn't match it up.

Supernice Al. That Lavid is something! Such wavery flowing petals. I am trying Kenora Lisa this year too. Looks like a beauty as do they all.

Did you get a new camera?

I got Hamilton Lillian new this year but it hasn't opened yet. Nice to see what I have been waiting for. Kenora Lisa is a real eye catcher. You always have great photo, such a pleasure to look at your flowers.

I like Bodacious and Hamilton Lillian best! Elma is also a favorite, still trying to get mine to stay growing.
