Teresa-Something I have found that is nice is one called 'After Eight', very 'Stargazer' like, but shorter and does well in containers or in front of a border, if the 'Stargazer' look is what you are after. Other great container/shorter ones are 'Salmon Star' or 'Angelique'.

Divernon, IL(Zone 5b)

New yesterday. My garden placement map indicates this should be 'Golden Torch' which I may have inadvertently assigned to 'Neon Gold' . Then again I see no gold here.

The lily that may have been assigned wrong name. Either name fits this specimen, 'Golden Torch' or 'Neon Gold'.

Sure do love that green one (the first one you posted) And, of course, the others are beautiful too.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

So pretty. I am going to have to look for Arctic Ice. White lilies are my favorites.
This bright fellow is Loreto.

Black Jack is co-operating this year and blooming at the same time as Loreto.

If you like whites, 'Tiny Nanny' packs a good punch. It's a good border lily and has many blooms per stem in my own personal garden trial ^_^

Thanks for sharing pics! Oh, I can't wait for my lilies!! My Lollypops are just starting to open, so that means Black Jack and Bali Hai should be following soon!! I love seeing the variety out there...I think I need more room for lilies!

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Both of your 'Golden Torch' lilies are correct. I loved it last year. Isn't it nice?

'Katinka' looks a lot like 'Tiger Babies' doesn't it? Very nice.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

This is appropriate for the first full day of summer

Fredrickais a lovely soft pink. jmorth, are you a night worker like me or just a night owl?

Susan

Divernon, IL(Zone 5b)

2nd shift supervisor - 14 years...night just seems right. I like it because I don't have to get up to an alarm clock and I can retire for the night at my leisure. I usually have the time to garden for several hours before preparing for work (weather permitting). I also think flowers, lilies in particular, really photograph neat at night. Neighbors may consider me eccentric but they like the show all summer.

Your night photos are really neat. I usually go home and work in the garden and take photos after I get off work in the mornings. My neighbors are used to seeing me out there deadheading in my scrubs.

Thanks magnolialover, I will check out those shorter ones. I like to make mixed containers and just love Stargazer's coloring.

I'm really enjoying the lilies here.

Here is one I really find cool, 'Midsummer's Eve'. Really enjoying the more species looking ones these days. This one looks much nicer than the picture showed...love it when that happens.

This one is an LO called 'Divine', wonderfully fragrant and deep, rich color.

Tracey is that TLG 'Midsummers Eve'? How tall is the plant?

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

It's about 2 1/2 feet tall, but it is it's first year. And yes, it is from TLG. It just opened today, it looks broader than what the picture shows. The picture is a lily with more recurved petals. The coloration looks very similar. Do you think it looks like something else Andrew? Whatever it is, I don't have it already and I really like it....a lot.

Fox River Valley Are, WI(Zone 5a)

Just curious ;*)
