I'll start this off with Genetic Artist, a Historic Arilbred introduced by Danielson in 1972.
Show us your Wild Ones
GA is Beautiful!!
well all I can say is WOW
Gloria
Genetic Artist is a knock out! Most of my AB's haven't bloomed yet, but I am hoping for a bunch of wild ones from them, eventually.
Yah, WOW.
wow i love it
a MASTERPIECE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent photo of Genetic Artist. I have the iris but haven't been able to capture the beauty of it in a photo.
LoL, Obi Wan Kenobi looks "classy" to me ;)
I think they're all beautiful and I love them all!
wow!
Our daughter's 'Solar Fire' had spoons this yr.,horns last yr. SA can change--yours were fuzzy horns? she lives in north-central Ohio nr Lake Erie. It didn't stay with us as we are further north--she is on a latitude with Hartford, CT.
Solar Fire is wild and fabulous looking and Space Age at that. Love the wild looking Batik and the wild looking Vegas Heat. Yes, I do know the name of my arilbred. It is Stars over LPaso and is from 1985. Very pretty. To me, almost all arilbreds are wild. I love them. Noble Warrior is great, too.
Zacattack did you really let your grandaughter pet a lion? Was it alive? If so, that'a wild!
WOW! Solar Fire is absolutely FANTASTIC!
I think this one is kind of wild, but not in brightness of colors. This is Parisian Dawn, which just bloomed for the first time for me a couple of days ago.
See picture below.

pajaritomt... Thanks for providing the name of your Arilbred. I like it, may have to get one for my garden. Please show us your other Arilbreds when they bloom. Some Arilbreds are really amazing.
No the the Lion is not real, it's a stuffed display at the Fort Worth Zoo School. She wanted to give it a hug on her last day at school.
I did let her hold a live alligator though... of course it's mouth was taped closed. Boy are gators bellies soft. I would have never believed they were so soft.
Parisian Dawn is really nice... and I am growing All Night Long in my garden. Superstition Iris Gardens sent it as a gift with my order the first year it was introduced. Rick and Roger are really generous.
Teresa_in_BC and Seedsower... Thanks for your comments. I've considered getting Chasing Rainbows, in fact, I ordered it once, but was sent the wrong iris. The wonderful scent makes it even better.
Dan
Thanks, Dan. You can be sure I will post all my arilbreds when they bloom. I was afraid I couldn't grow them so when the first one bloomed I was ecstatic! Most are in flower pots right now. I hope to get them in the ground before winter and will probably have more blooms next year.
So glad to hear that the lion was stuffed! I couldn't imagine anyone allowing a child to hug a live one but it sure looked real. Your grandaughter is adorable. I see why her wish is your command. And what a great age! I once took my stepson to an alligator farm where he was photographed holding a smaller alligator and a small boa constrictor. The photo was the pride of his life, but not so much, now that he is 27. Unfortunately, I didn't get to pet the alligator's belly.
Everybody:
Wow, those are great Solar Fires. I have one on order and can't wait to see it -- hopefully this spring. I ordered it along with too many other rhizomes from Superstition, one of my favorite places to order from.
Here is Persona, an MTB by Keppel. It is a little wild compared to my other stuff. It is blooming about 3 weeks late here in New Mexico. You just never know what will happen with the weather around here.
Bold Statement is definitely bold! I really like Circus, Circus, wild or not.
