Libby, MT(Zone 4b)

Does anyone know where to purchase dwarf fruit trees? I'm specifically wanting plum and pear. Thanks DM

Thanks betty, I don't see where they have dwarf. I only see semi-dwarf.

There is not any true "dwarfing" prunus and pyrus rootstocks. So your choices are pretty much limited.

St. Julian "A" is the least vigorous rootstock for plums and for pears, the least vigor rootstock would be quince.

You can keep a height of a tree down to a manageable size by summer pruning though.

Thanks amanda.

You might contact your local Cooperative Extension agent for specific varietal recommendations for your area.
