I bought quite a bit of torenia this year and I just trimmed quite a bit of spent blooms. Have any of you ever tried saving these seeds? I have lots of purple and also the clown mix, so if it is easy to save the seeds, I should have quite a few to share in the future.
Has anyone saved torenia (wishbone flower) seeds?
Sharkey, The seeds are in the flower pod, but are so tiny they are almost invisible. I just cut off the whole dry seed pod and then when I get ready to sow, just carefully roll the pod between my fingers over the spot where I want my seeds. Torenia are very free reseeders, so if they are in the ground they will probably come back or you can mark the pot and just wait for them to come up next year. In our old house I planted them one time in a bed and they faithfully came back for the eight years we lived there.
