What have you done to improvise heat mats for starting seeds, I didn't use any this year and I had pretty good luck, even though they took a little longer to come up, the eggplants are on the top of the fridge, but I know there isn't enough room for everything.
improvissed heat mats
Use caution when improvising...many of the things that people think of using are not designed to be used in wet situations, I've heard stories of fires and things along those lines when people use inappropriate setups.
There are some safe alternatives mentioned in this DG article, http://davesgarden.com/guides/articles/view/556/
Thanks everyone, I think my husband and I can come up with something after reading your responses, I would still love to hear things you have used.
