I found the pussytoes. They're blooming their fuzzy little toes off now.
Oh, Ms Critterrrrrrrrr!
bump
Woohooo!
:-)
The MouseEars I brought home last year may not have been PussyToes like we thought... but they're still really cute!!
HUMP, I had a friend over the other day and we were doing the garden tour. I showed her my pussy-toes and she said they were weeds!!!!!! How rude!!!! LOL
Very good friend, Jane the one I travel with. She must be digging them up all the time and she said the old adage one persons weeds are another persons special pants. Or is that a weed is just a misplaced flower. LOL
Mine haven't bloomed yet but they look close. I will have to find a better place for them this summer. I tucked them in the edge of a bed last fall and they will get lost where I have them.
Pussy-toes? Like pussy willows?
Mouse ears?
Interesting...will have to see if they are in the plant files.
Nothing like pussy willows. LOL Look in plant files for antennarea.
How are you doing, 4paws? It's good to see you here. Did you move to NC? Now that you're a southron, we'll have to call you fo' paws. LOL

Somebody on the Wild Plants forum thought these were pussytoes... http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/837451/
They are. There are umpteen species, depending on where you live.
Holly, I think that's one woman's weed is another woman's wildflower. LOL I've seen them sold on some of the native plant sites so you're not the only one who likes them.
Critter, Wanted to ask about the plants you handed out at the seed swap. The little ones in the plastic bags? Mine have rooted very nicely. Did you call them Teddy Bears or was that a different plant?
Er... I thought I had labeled the bags... I brought Episcia and Alsobia 'Cygnet' stolons...
There was an Episcia 'Teddy Bear'... green & rust-red colored leaf, and it'll bloom bright pink so there's no mistaking it.
Yes, you did mark the bags. I may have even saved the bags. I think I wasn't very careful with the info because I didn't expect them to survive my tender care. LOL Well my instincts must have been right I transplanted them into my terrarium with a couple of AV this morning and I just looked them up and seems that was the right thing to do. Thanks Holly
Oh, I found a Alsobia dianthiflora Teddybear!!!

Holly, that's too cute... good luck duplicating that at home! ;-)
