Tent caterpillers. It is best to catch them early, but a good home orchid spray will take care of them. They are suceptible to many insecticides. In the old days, we would burn out their tents (webs) with pineknot ( lightwood) torches before the leaves came out. I f you use a prescribed spray program for peach trees, you will never have a problem with them.

Thanks Farmerdill! I have not been spraying. Any particular one you recommend?? Fruit will still be safe to eat? Thanks again.

Thuricide ( the spray form of Bt) will take them out with no damage to either humans or pollinators. There are a lot of other pests and diseases of peaches tho. Consult your agricultural extension agent.

Thanks again. It is supposed to be a resistant variety.
