There's a co-op running for these now. Have any of you used one before? I know some people are fanatic in their praise -- but I'm curious whether it is practical.

Excalibur Dehydrator Co-op
I don't have that Dehydrator but I bought a dehydrator years ago, the only thing we do/did in ours is beef jerky. I did try some fruit but didn't like the color so threw the fruit out. As for herbs I just air dry them. Just my 2 cents.
Thanks. Your two cents is just what I wanted to know!
I was given a dehydrator years ago. I haven't got a clue what the brand is. I have used it to dehydrate tomato slices and liked it for that, but I find it to be a fair amount of work. I'd like to use it more, but I can never seem to be bothered to do so ... hmmmm ...
Got it. Again, very useful. Given that I am perennially short on time . . . .
