There are lots and lots of these bushes growing on the Eastern Shore (7a). Lovely dark salmony
orange blossoms now and long slender thorns. They bloom beautifully every spring down here.
Help! I've posted this elsewhere. It is driving me crazy (not far to go!)
Pamspace
salmony/orangey flowered thorny bushes. What are they?
Quince?
If they're blooming now they have to be flowering quince. They always bloom around the same time as forsythias.

If it is Flowering Quince look for hummingbirds, I always see my first hummer feeding at my flowering quince. They are getting close to the eastern shore area according to the migration map.
