I had the double one at my old city house. It was one of the few I decided to leave behind. I loved the blooms but it would succor terribly and needed a lot of pruning to keep it under control. It just sort of took over the border. It bloomed a lot as long as rain was sufficient and there was sun. It just had an unruly growth habit to me. I had a time keeping it under control. It got fairly big too. It was a tough bush though and in the right spot it would be attractive.
