Post iris websites up for 2008

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

I doubt it. Ensata, Aitkens and Iris City Gardens all have less JI listings this year. Both Aitkens and Iris City Gardens seem to have more LAs, but I think that's a trend and not a temporary thing.

South Hamilton, MA

I have a friend in VT hybridizing for shorter & earlier JI so when he gets going there will probably be more.

Lebanon, OR

While they may be getting more, next year and maybe this year I have more and more JI

I noticed the differences, too, Polly.

Barstow, CA(Zone 9a)

I need all these Iris source references for finding bulbs to plant in my open front yard *this* year and, the way the Favorites function doesn't work, creating a link in my "watch list" seemed the best way to retain connection.

Thanks irisMA and irisloverdee.

Pirl, after the fantastic divisions I got from you last year, and a few new ones from Ensata, I'm not JI challenged. I think I have around 70 varieties now, but I was just wondering why the trend?

I know Aitkens said they are cutting back, generally. The Ensata guys have been in business a long time, maybe they're 'cutting back', but Greg and Macey at ICG are still 'youngins'......

Japanese iris get so many oohs, and ahhs, when the pictures are posted, and they are easy to grow in most parts of the country, so why the cutback on the number of cultivars?

bgrumbin, I'm so glad the iris resource list is helping you. I think we've done it every year, for a few years now. Before I had a computer, I thought Schreiners was the only game in town. They sure are nice, but there is such a wider selection overall.

Margie,

Hearthstone Legacy still says 2007 on their home page. Don't think they're open yet.

Nola's is up for business!

Just clicked onto the website and it now states:

"Welcome to our 2008 Bearded Iris season"

It's so cool to see Margie's new intros. Isn't she an absolute doll!!?!!?!?!

Oro Valley, AZ(Zone 9a)

Nola's website says the season is open for 2008 - but none of the 2008 introductions are up there. Also, most pages still read 2007. Hmmmmmmmmmmm...................I'm going to send an e-mail and find out if there's a glitch in the website system or what.
