Wild Prarie is a new one to me.
While thinking of rebloomers Winterberry Gardens does not have a website, but is a great source for rebloomers and medians (TB and historics too). I requested their catalogue and was sent it free. I ordered quite a few medians from there, and they sent duplicates (3-4!) of everything. Substantial extras too. Winterberry lists over 400 rebloomers. I like that they say what zone the rebloomers have been reported to rebloom in. They also had a listing for rebloomers by color. Very, very nice people. I don't understand why they don't have a website, but hopefully that won't stop anyone from ordering from them. Tons of medians. Lots of info, especially on hybridizing.

Margie - can we grow SDB's here in the desert?
Cooley's Gardens is also open;
https://www.cooleysgardens.com/Home/tabid/36/Default.aspx
Margie,
Can't find Woodlands Iris Gardens on the Garden Watchdog. Are they listed? Thanks!
Marilyn
Woodland is listed here:
http://davesgarden.com/products/gwd/c/1178/
Thanks Laurie,
I didn't think (and know) to look under the N's.
Marilyn
www.snowpeakiris.com is ready for 2008 and boy do they have great Iris!!!
Judy
Mrsj,
SDB's will grow and bloom the first year only - as a rule. They will do so (that first year) only because of where they most likely where ordered from/came from. SDB's need "very cold chilly" weather for a long period of time during the winter months in order to produce a blooming stalk, which is something we don't get here in Arizona unless we live up in the mountains. So, in short - - no. :-)
However along with TB's - - BB's, Arilbreds, Spuria's, and Louisiana's grow wonderfully here!

Very nice layout and descriptions of the JI's on the Tranquil Lake site, Polly. Thanks for the link.
Ahhhhh..thanks Margie!!
They're not open yet, but I'd thought I'd give everyone an update on.....
'My Wild Iris Rows'
http://davesgarden.com/products/gwd/c/2139/
1 positive review from April 2004
I emailed them yesterday and this is the email I got......
We are working on the website now and it should be ready for orders by the end of March or the beginning of April.
We are adding some new features and restructuring some pages so they will be easier to access from the open web.
There will be more than 50 new varieties offered this year and the garden has been increased in size by 50%.
Now all we need is some warm weather....
Ross, at the Garden
It's 'late' for their date of opening, but I just wanted to let everyone know. I've never ordered from them before.
Marilyn
I just clicked onto Mid-America Garden website and this is copied and pasted here:
February 7, 2008 message update:
Thank you to each of our customers for making 2007 another very successful year. We look forward with great anticipation to serving you again in 2008.
We understand that some of you are coming down with a bad case of "cabin fever". Maybe we can help take the edge off those long winter days. I've posted the pictures and descriptions of the 2008 Mid-America Garden introductions to our web site. To view them, click on the "IRISES" tab on this page and then either the "Thomas Johnson Introductions" or "Paul Black Introductions" tab on that page.
The online catalog is also finished and available for you to see. It is the full version of the print catalog. The print catalog is currently being printed and will be ready for mailing in about 10 days. To view the online catalog, click on the "download catalog" tab at the top of this page and then on the catalog pdf icon on the resulting page. It is a rather large file so will take several minutes if using dial up access.
PLEASE NOTE: These are the only sections of the web site that have been updated. I will be working on further web site updates over the next several weeks. We want you to continue to enjoy the pictures on the 2007 site but ask that you only use the 2008 catalog information when ordering since quite a few varieties are added and discontinued each year.
Mid America has their catalogue updated.
http://www.mid-americagarden.com/catalog.aspx
Click on catlogue PDF. Their entire website is not updated yet.
I hope Mid-America's pdf works better for you than it does for me. I can get the first 10 pages and that's all. Has anyone been able to see the whole catalog?
I have the entire catolog printed off, you might try again.
D
Yes! I got the completely catalog downloaded since 2/7!
I tried twice the day on 2/7, the day it was available on Firefox and it was slow and didn't complete and had problems with downloading the catalog. Then, I thought I'd try it on Explorer on 2/7 (which we have besides Firefox) and got the whole catalog within a couple minutes. We have cable for our internet.
I was going to mention the problems I was having to Mid-America until I got it completely and fast in a couple of minutes on Explorer.
Marilyn
And another:
http://www.iriscitygardens.com/
I had to download the Adobe reader to get the entire catalog. It will be coming in the mail so we all have to be patient. icy snow and a deer invasion today gets one itching for spring.
Thanks all. I switched to IE for my browser ( from Firefox) and the catalog downloaded easily.
Joe Pye Weeds Garden is up
http://www.jpwflowers.com/
This is the website for the famous hybridizers of beardless iris Schafer and Sacks.
I love the new sib Berries and Cream.
Great plants, and super nice people.
Just got the Winterberry Gardens catalogue.
They have no website, but can be reached at vspoon@aol.com
Their catalogue is a wealth of info on growing and hybridizing iris. Complete with diagrams, which are nice.
They have about 2000 irises listed with about 300 rebloomers (TB), along with median rebloomers. They have quite a few historics, and a lot of medians. They have about 60 MDBs, which is the most I've seen anywhere.
I did order from them last year, and the irises were great. Mostly what I ordered was the medians, one of each, and I received 3-4 of each, plus substantial bonuses.
They have a lot of 'girlie girl' irises, fluffy, ruffly pinks, that they hybridize themselves.
Thanks! I just requested a catalog and mentioned your name. The "girlie girl" irises won me over.
Not all pink, but here's an example of what some of their own iris look like. This one was named after the owner, Ginny Spoon.
(A lovely picture taken by our Margie).
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/131335/
Girlie girl, Pirl.
Heavenly. Absolutely divine. Not to mention (but I will) that I had a dog named Ginny!
I did tell them I was ordering the catalog because of you.
I better order tfrom them this year, then. Thanks. Brownie points are always good, when it comes to irises.
that is a beauty.
I received Aitkens catalogue today. They, too have cut way back on their listing of Japanese iris.
I would guess that it might be temporary because of the large listing of LA.
