I poor little brain asked a question today. Should I just be sitting my containers directly on the ground. I thought maybe I put rocks or something on the ground under them so air could get to them from the bottom as well as top.

Doesn't matter, just make sure you have plenty of drainage holes. You can use holes on bottom sides, just above the ground.

You just wait; you are really, truly going to be wildly successful, and next year, you will be giving other people advice! Just keep an eye on your containers, and if it looks like they are getting flooded during the rains, poke some drainage holes in the sides a bit above the ground, like Karen suggested.

Ok, uou just answered a question I just posted. I noticed when it rains, I have a little cave in , in the plastic or whatever over the top.
Am no going to cut more holes. Well, maybe not, it's pouring rain and I do have enough sense to stay out of the rain .....sometimes
