If you live in or are around the area, the book store closes it's doors on Jan 26th. 40% off all merchandise, exept magazines, till then. I just picked up 5 books (including 2 hardbacks), a booklight, and a bookmarker for 50 bucks.

What a steal! I really miss living close to "somewhere" :( Would have to drive an hour to find anything closely resembling the 'big city'. Nice and quiet here but so few choices!

Wow - I don't think I will get a chance to get up there but that mall is really going down. Anything new going in? Since Penney's closed their home store I don't think I've been there more than 3-4 times and two of those trips was to Chanticleer shoes for my grandson!

I was surprised to see Long John Silver gone as well when I went. The only reason I ever went there was for the bookstore. One article on a Frederick website called it a "ghost mall" and that there was a person sleeping on one of the benches and snoring.
