Gardener's eye candy

Near Lake Erie, NW, PA(Zone 5a)

I know that you guys are getting lots of seed and garden catalogs, at least I am, they started trickling in right around Thanksgiving and my mailman is getting geared up for the deluge. ha ha

Here is a favorite of mine www.whiteflowerfarm.com . I get some really good ideas for containers and the write ups on plants are pretty informative. I have ordered lily bulbs from them and have not been disappointed.

Lets share some of our favorite catalog choices here.

Gardener's eye candy, so true. THose color pictures really sell, I'm sure.
I've been using Pinetree, since I don't plant a big garden and like their smallr packets for reasonable price. Shipping is 3.50 for thefirst twenty dollars now. I think that went p in the last couple of years.
Last year I received two awesome new-to-me ones, which I can't name at the moment, but they were full color, very informative and had Latin names on about everything which I appreciate. from Idaho, maybe...Johnny's? I saved them somewhere. I felt guilty not ordering from them, bacuase the cat alog was soooo nice.
No offense, if you have xperience otherwise, but I do not save or look through the ones from Randolph WI. I got five- so far. They are all from the same place but styled to appeal to different types ofcustomers. Sorry, Wisconsin, My dad grew up there. But my best friend, in spirit, grew up in Maine so I feel good buying Pinetree.

I refer to Johnn'y and Territorial catalogues

I got two catalogs this week. I promised Ric I would throw out last years when the new ones come. Oh so many plants, so many decisions.

Thompson & Morgan is my favorite "eye-candy" seed catalog.
I do end up buying more than I ever could grow out & plant. But
the dream is wonderful while it lasts

I like the old-fashioned catalogs like D. Landreth Seeds - lush illustrations. Agreeds though that White Flower Farm is nice too.

One that I like a lot is The Cook's Garden, http://www.cooksgarden.com/

Am also a fan of Select Seeds, http://www.selectseeds.com/

Old House Gardens, http://www.oldhousegardens.com/

I'll have to come back to add the others ...
