Tangerines are ready

Mandarins are ready too. Grapefruit turning yellow. My cold hardy citrus experiment is working out well for now. No pests or anything like that and the cold hasn't taken them out. Think I have a good combo of root stock and cold hardy trees.

Looking good!
Looks like they are healthy with no sign of leaf miners. What are you spraying?

Sprayed nothing. I would rather wait to see if anything comes after them. My peaches were fine to without spraying. Who knows what next year will bring but I don't like to use chemicals if I can avoid it.

My tangerines are ready too, also the Meyer lemons are just shedding the last bit of green on the rinds. We've had one freeze thus far but only for a couple of hours and the fruit quality was not damaged. I have two young kumquat trees to set out but fire ants have invaded one of the pots. Usually I dispense with the miserable critters with boiling water but I can't do that now - it would kill the tree.

I agree about the spraying. These citrus trees have produced reliably for nine years with no chemicals at all.
