Thankyou, that eye of the storm is a tulip, and yes, I was lying down to get the photo of the lily-of-the-valley pips. My view from the top isn;t bad either, but I couldn't get it right in the lens. Didn't look the same.

It's a Japanese chrysanthemum. I took this picture in Tokyo last fall around the time of the festival (Chrysanthemums are very important in Japanese culture).

What would you call THIS picture of life-size statues made of the flowers (unfortunately not really blooming yet)?
