Today seems to be a rather quiet day here in the Garden!

Lin & Susan & Brenda, where is everyone. Have they all gone on a vacation and forgot to tell us.

they are probably hiding because they cant figure out the clues like me hehehehhe
when will you put up the names for the clues? i think i know some but not sure i liked it when they where mixed up heheheh alot easier for me
but it is the last day of the weekend they are probably spend time with theur families before they have to go back to work

I will be on at 9pm... tv for a few...

I HATE running...LOL But I do love my Mama!!!

I've been gone most of the day and then I went and played elsewhere for a bit.........but now that I'm here again I want to say thanks so much for some discussion!! Helped me out big time and even though I didn't have today's calls (did I Lin?? LOL) I appreciated the hints! This really is a fun way to play, making us use our noggins!!

Morning all. I've been off the computer all weekend and it took a few minutes to catch up. I got everything but the one that blew all over town, but now I am totally confused. For Sept 7, number 2 I had Streptocarpus Karen, up top it shows Streptocarpus Susie - did I miss something?

Fun clues Lin and Makshi.

I had Karen also since I don't find a K in susie. Maybe I missed something also.

When I first saw the clue that day Makshi posted, I too thought it was Streptocarpus Karen, but since the jumbled word has been edited out, now I'm not sure. Maybe Makshi will be here before long to clarify.

Makshi are you trying to pull a fast one on us?? LOL I thought there was a K in that streptocarpus clue from the 7th also! But I had a busy past few days and just assumed I'd looked wrong when I saw it posted as Susie.

It's an even 30 degrees here this morning, brrrrr!

Brenda: 30 DEGREEE????? Are you serious? If so, I am stunned! Isn't it a bit early to be so cold? Now, I realize Idaho is waaaat far North from me, but 30 degrees?!





........ It's 86 here already! At 10:15 a.m. Eastern Time! Too early in the day to be so hot. But, I sure wouldn't want 30 degrees. WOW!

Yep, I'm serious Lin!! We are at 5200 feet in elevation and the small area I live in is well known (in these parts) with two different ski resorts close by. I've seen below zero temps to start the mornings in October!! That is unusual but I've also seen it snow on the fourth of July. Life in the mountains.......LOL

I'm loving life when I see 86 degrees as a day time temp around here!!!!

How many had Strep. Susie and how many Strep. Karen. It was supposed to be Strep. Karen but I think me has made a booboo. Here is what we are going to do. Those that have either one can mark them off. That is the only way I can see it being fair.

Makshi I think that's very fair.

Brenda - 30 degrees!!!, we may not see 30 until December or January. Are your trees turning already?

I lived in cold weather but not as cold as Brenda...........we got our first snow in September and the last one in May................lived at the base of a mountain in New Mexico for 11 years...................our summers were in the 70's and 80's during the day and much cooler at night.............

Makshi, maybe when you put the answer in you should also leave the original clue... that would be fun, I think, and it might help avoid confusion also.

Crystal Lake is a real place, but I'm not sure it has anything to do with the name of the AV... unless I guessed wrong!

I did the same thing and looked it up...LOLOLO unless I am wrong also had nothing to do with AV's LOLOLOL

Yes Susan, the aspen trees are just starting to turn but the undergrowth has already turned..... Here's a picture from my front porch this morning.

On the positive side the forests fires have been especially bad this past 6 weeks and the bit of rain we've had along with the cooler temps is really helping to get them contained. So I'm welcoming the cooler temperatures and the season change as I'm not having to breath smoke all day or have ash falling on me whenever I step outside!
