Hey Guys,
I'm wondering if anyone has ever grown coralbells successfully from seed. I've read that it can be done and I've also read that heuchera seed are sterile and will not reproduce. I'd love to hear anyone's experience with this.
Thanks,
La

Easy. Warm germination.
Thanks Tara. Should I use bottom heat?
I didn't, but you can.
I've started several kinds under lights in my basement in the early spring. They seem to germinate fine at anywhere from the mid-60's to the mid-70's. The basement is heated, and the lights keep the trays warm, as well.
Thanks Weez....I've picked a few flower scapes, but it's so darn hard to tell if there's any seed in them. The timing has to be just right on these little guys cause you sure can't tell by just looking!
Just harvest the dried seed heads and shake them out. There is very small seed in them. It is one of the seed plants that you have to just have to allow for and have faith!
