Emma, this one http://davesgarden.com/forums/fp.php?pid=3765270 is 'Kawaru' from Dee. There were six blooms on it this morning!!

I like the one you named for Jordin Rose, Emma. What a beauty. Think she'll have reddish hair?

Joseph

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks Joseph,

Only time will tell if Jordin has red hair or cotton white like my son's hair when he was a little one.

Hi Emma,

I wouldn`t ever leave town without telling someone. But now I know if I did suddenly disappear the board would make it just fine. (kidding of course!!!) :)

That picture is precious. It brings back memories.

But I will say I`m becoming a once a day DGer. Since I have all this yard and garden not to mention a houseful of husband, kids and pets including reptiles and a mini horse, bunny rabbit, ferret and 6 dogs to make sure they get cared for I have a lot to do.

I cannot check the thread twice a day some days and the thread can explode in a matter of minutes as multiple people post pictures. If noone wants to cool it until the next day then I`m unsure of who should do the job.

It could get very confusing with multiple new threads getting started and such. I think this is doing good though and with communication and some patience being involved things will continue being spontaneous and interesting.

The point is we need someone with some time on their hands who can check in morning and night without fail in case the thread gets to 100 in 5 minutes flat. Then some days we still might have to wait a little bit. This morning glory business is turning into storm of pictures no doubt!!!

And now here is a peaceful serene scene that awaited me the other morning. :)

Karen

Thanks Becky,

Great photos Kevin. Is your Pink purpurea Martha White? or is that the right name?

Yep, Karen, know what you mean. My days are STILL crazy and my kids are grown!
I'm only here right now because I needed a break *-*

Try having new grandbabies, going to Houston and back more than is necessary, your daughter gets married this week, your 4 year old grandbaby gets ear infection from swimming lessons every day that I have to take her to - and Mommy is on honeymoon. So, you take granddaughter to the doctor and then spend countless hours because of the ear pain holding and comforting her. THEN, to top it off, you have about 30 MG babies to get planted that are germinating because I find out my schedule has changed from going to Houston to help with Jordin Rose and 19 month-old Jamie Lynn from Tuesday to leaving tonight. And this doesn't even count eBay shipping that won't get done, and on and on AND on . . . *sigh* . . .
waaaaaa!

Emma,
The real Duh is why I did not mention the name myself. I'll correct my omission.

Native to Z6, Ipomoea pandurata.

These grow all over the south side of my lawn. The lucky ones are those that pop up close to the fence.
