Annual Centranthus ("pink valerian")?

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

I have been reading a gardening book originally written in the 1940s; the author mentions about an annual Centranthus, C. macrosiphon, with pink flowers similar to the perennial C. ruber, but she indicates the folige is different.

I found very little information about this species in the internet search I conducted. I found one reference that called it "Pink Valerian" but couldn't locate much else.

I successfully grew C. ruber from seed this year, and am curious about this annual species.

Does anyone have more information, photos (or seeds) to share?
Thanks!!!!

In case anyone's interested, I finally located a link with a photo. (It's to an Australian site on weeds, but I guess that does prove that one person's weed is another person's flower :) You have to scroll partways down the screen to reach the section for it:

Now, if anyone knows of a source for these seeds?

you should ask some of the aussies on the international forum, if it's a weed they'll have loads i'm sure!

I've just looked it up and apparently there is a cultivar Centranthus macrosiphon 'Tumbling Spurs' as well as the species. Its listed in the Seed Search book which is avalable in the UK. If I come across the book again I'll certainly look it up if you haven't had any luck finding it.
