I have a beautiful abutilon and would like to take some cuttings. How do I do this? It is a large tree and lots of flowers.

Looks like it is pretty easy from cuttings:

Have you ever tried it from seed? I tried but they didn't germinate - yet. It is very difficult to start them from seed? Are they sterile?
I started some from seed last year. I think I had 2 out of 5 to germinate.

How long did it take to germinate? Also, I'd also like to try cuttings too.
Sorry for the delay in answering. Have been away. I do not remember just how long it took for the seed to germinate. It was not long tho. Probably within a couple of weeks as I usually dump the trays if seeds do not germinate within that time.

Idid some cuttings but only 1 did well. I'm going to try again.
