In case anyone is in the Waltham Mass area be sure to check the Gore Place Heirloom plant sale, Saturday 9 - 3 PM. Wonderful selection of unusual heirloom annuals, perennials, herbs, tomatoes, peppers, etc. See the web site for directions and plant list. They had sold out of some things but still had a nice selection when I went at 2PM today (Friday).
And the prices were very resonable and it is a fundraiser for the nonprofit Gore Place Mansion so it is for a good cause. If anyone went last year it is about twice as big as last year so this year has more herbs and perennials and BTW not just heirlooms but definitely check it out if you are interested in unusual plant material.
