"Our property is located in a section of town that is known as 'Graniteville'. We have many sections of granite ledge that appear as outcroppings in the landscape were perfect for rock gardening. I quickly fell in love with all types of sedum varieties in addition to other rock garden favorites such as perennial geraniums, dianthus, heathers and heaths, dwarf conifers, lavenders, etc.
In addition to the rock gardens, I have added annual border gardens containing cutting annuals such as the large flowered zinnias, cosmos, bachelor buttons, celosia, ageratums, and painted tongues. In other gardens I grow non cutting annuals such as marigolds and impatiens. The cutting annuals provide materials for fresh bouquets that I enjoy bringing inside and making and giving to family and friends.
