Hello All!
My mom spotted some strawberries growing in a hanging plastic pouch last summer and decided she had to have FIVE. Anyhoooo... I bought the bags, filled with growing medium and planted Ozark Beauties. They are doing great. Here's my question. After the berries are done, what do we do with the strawberry plants? Will they come back next year if we leave them in the pouches? Should I remove them and plant them somewhere else? There are 10 in each pouch. (I planted mine in a raised bed).
Thanks so much!
Michelle
Strawberries in a plant pouch
I'd love to know too -- I also bought some of those plastic pouches. But I'd be concerned that when they die back for the winter and try to resprout next year, they won't find the openings in the plastic.
Boy, I'm glad to hear that your berries in pouches are doing well. Many of our plants have died - while the berries we have planted in beds are thriving.
