I'm looking for a source to buy semi thornless gooseberries that won't kill my pocket book,
if I buy 3 or 4 of them.
kathy
source for gooseberry
Kathy, It's getting a little late in the season to ship gooseberries, but you can get them from One Green World, Raintree, Whitman Farms and Edible Landscaping.com, all listed in Garden Watchdog. Price is under $10.00 per plant, last I looked. I have not received any from Whitman Farms, but the other three are listed in order of typical size of gooseberry plant shipped, per my experience with the companies.
thanks so much
founds some at raintree, but not the semi thornless. guess I 'm not too particular about the thornless. but thanks though, I appreciate all the help
kathy_ann, One Green World has a variety called "friend" that is listed as thornless. I have no experience with that variety.
I bought l0 of them from raintree nursery.com thanks though
