I'm looking for Dr. Martin seeds
Dr. Martin pole lima beans
I searched high and low for them earlier this year. Called the one commercial source and they no longer have them. I finally found some at the Landis Valley Museum shop.
The only other place I know where you can get them is through the seed savers exchange.
Burpee was selling a lima last year called Big Mama that is apparently an offshoot of Dr. Martin, or perhaps it is Dr. Martin under another name. Those seeds have been marked as sold out all spring.
Deb,
There was a farm in Oxford, PA that grew Doc Martins and they had given me some seed a few years ago. I know the farmers wife worked at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA, maybe if you called their office, they could point you to someone?
I tried to grow them here n South Boston, VA last year but they didn't do well, either the soil was too heavy or it was too hot, not sure. In any case, I don't have any seeds left or I would happily share..
Terri
