Is that what this is? I was out of town a few days. Came back this evening and was furiously watering. Came across this on one of my Black Gamecock plants. Suggestions? I've have these plants for a few years, but this is the first time I've noticed this phenom.

That's a seed pod--around here anyway, we harvest them July 4th. I have a lot of suggestions on growing the seeds--an entire pdf file to be exact. If you dmail me I can send it to you but its much too long to post.
I probably have close to 50 pounds of seeds about now. ;)
