Has anyone here tried to propagate pineapple lily (Eucomis) from leaf cuttings? I have read that it can be done and want to try it.
My first thought is to treat them like Sanseveria leaf cuttings with rootone for both hormone and antifungal treatment.
Anyone have any other suggestions?

leaf cuttings of pineapple lily
I think there were some threads on this subject from last year. I have started several this way. You are right on treating them like sansevieria cuttings. You can cut them in two inch lengths but remember to keep the orientation right. Either cut a "V" to indicate which end to pot up or Magic Marker with arrows as an indicator. I rooted mine in Perlite without any rooting hormone in late summer. They rooted quickly. I am surprised that the mother bulbs have not multiplied as rapidly as the leaf cutting method.
Here is a picture of them from last April. The bunch on the left are ones I started by leaf cuttings and the ones on the right are the mother plants.
