What a feast for the eyes! I love the "frosted" leaves, not sure what is the plant. It's very cool. The trumpeters simply herald summer for me.

I think it's Queen of the Prairie (Filipendula rubra) but I'm not positive. It came with the house.

Peg, your Dahlia 'fireworks' is beautiful. Dahlia doesn't grow here, too hot, too many bugs, too many diseases. It is one of the most dependable cut flowers I ever grew when I was in CA.
